Refrain From Losing Money to Play Online Poker – Millions of people play online poker today either as a recreational hobby, or as a way to make extra money. So how do we ensure that we stay mentally alert during a session? Well I believe there is a lot to go through.
If you are a newcomer to online poker and you have reached the stage where you are playing at least 4 tables at once, I would recommend a 5 minute break for every 60 minutes of play. So get a drink, use the bathroom, get some fresh air, then come back to a new level of concentration.
If you are an intermediate or experienced online poker player then I recommend an honest self-assessment plan. This is what I use and I can vouch for its benefits. Imagine that you have a top-notch poker coach sitting behind you watching every move you make. You have to articulate in your head (or out loud) exactly every game you make even if it raises the pre-flop and gives you a reason to do it. When you stop doing this, then it is time to rest because you are mentally tired. From my own experience I have found after two hours from this you will start to get tired, so once again take a 5 minute break, rehydrate, eat a healthy snack if hungry to increase energy levels and start playing again.
